Help Connect your data

Google Analytics 4

Connect Google Analytics 4 and Stetto imports your site’s visits by country and channel group, with each property in its own time zone and currency.

Connect Google Analytics

  1. In Settings, “Connections”, choose “Add a connection”, then “New Google Analytics login”.
  2. Sign in with Google and allow Stetto to read your analytics.
  3. Choose the properties that belong to this workspace, then import them.

What’s imported

Stetto brings in sessions, engaged sessions, new users, key events and purchase revenue, by day, visitor’s country and channel group.

Conversion rate and sales per session divide Shopify’s orders and net sales by GA4’s sessions. That way they measure real sales, not GA4’s own count. The “Website traffic (GA4)” template is built on them. See The templates.

A property per site

To see each site’s visits on its own, double-click a GA4 card and pick “GA4 property” under “Breakdown”, or ask Stetto to split by it. See Drill into a card.

Connect one property per site. Don’t add an all-sites property beside them in the same workspace, or those visits would count twice.

Good to know

  • The latest day or two by channel can still move. Google Analytics takes a day or two to sort visits into channel groups, so a chart split by channel through its latest days says so.
  • You can see where visitors are. Double-click a GA4 card and pick “Country” under “Breakdown”, or ask Stetto for a map. See States, provinces and maps.
  • A headless store counts its visits in GA4. They don’t show up in Shopify’s store sessions. See Headless store? Count visits with GA4.
