Help Cards

Export a card or frame

Save what’s selected as a picture to share, or as its numbers to work with in a spreadsheet.

Export

  1. Select a card, a frame or several. A frame brings every card inside it. See Select several.
  2. Click “Export” at the bottom of the right panel.
  3. Pick a format. The file saves to your downloads, named after the card, frame or deck.

“Picture”: “PNG”, “JPEG” or “PDF”

You get the cards exactly as they look on the canvas, in your theme and text size, at twice the sharpness of your screen. What’s only there for editing is left out: the selection outline, hover buttons, cursors and comment pins. A frame comes with its label, which shows its name, dates and comparison.

“Data”: “CSV” or “Excel”

You get the numbers each card shows, worked out the same way, in the region you’re looking at.

  • Each card gets its own section. In Excel, it gets its own sheet. They come in reading order: the card’s title, its dates and currency, then its table.
  • Units go in the column names. For example, “Net sales (USD)”. Money is in the card’s currency.
  • The comparison and forecast come along. When a card has them, they sit beside each number, with the change.
  • So do totals and targets. A table’s total row and a number card’s target are included.
  • So do the card’s notes. Whatever the card says under its numbers, like a sales channel being left out, is written under its table.

A card waiting for a source isn’t left out: it says what it needs in its place. A frame with no cards gives you a picture but no numbers.

Good to know

  • If an export fails, try again, or export fewer cards at once.
  • CSV files are safe to open. Text that looks like a formula is kept as text.

Who can do this
