Help Cards

Drop to combine

Drag one card onto another, and Stetto offers what the two can become together: a new metric, one shared chart, matching dates or a frame around both.

Combine two cards

  1. Drag a card so its centre is over the middle of another card. The other card lights up and says “Drop to combine”.
  2. Let go. The card you dragged goes back to its place, and a menu opens.
  3. Pick an option, or press Escape to close the menu.

What the menu offers

  • “Make metric”. A new card for a metric built from the two. Drop an orders card on a net sales card and you get “Make Average order value”. Drop Meta spend on net sales for “Make Meta ROAS (Shopify-verified)”. The new card lands next to the one you dropped on.
  • “Compare on one chart”. Both metrics as lines on one new chart. It’s only offered when they share a unit, since a chart has one axis. See Choose what a card shows (filter your data).
  • “Use the same dates”. The card you dragged takes the other card’s dates. It’s offered when their dates differ.
  • “Put side by side”. Moves the card you dragged right next to the other. It isn’t offered under auto layout, which places cards itself. See Auto layout.
  • “Frame together”. Puts both in a new frame, so they share its filters. See Make and use a frame.

When the pair doesn’t make a metric, the menu says “These two don’t combine into a metric.” and still offers the rest.

Good to know

  • Every new metric comes from Stetto’s metric catalog. It uses the same definitions as every other card, so nothing is a made-up formula. See How Stetto counts.
  • It’s one step to undo, whichever you pick. See Undo and redo.
