Undo and redo
Changed your mind? Undo takes back your last change and redo brings it back, from the keyboard or the toolbar.
Undo and redo
- To undo, press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows), or click the “Undo” button at the end of the toolbar.
- To redo, press ⇧⌘Z, or click “Redo”. On Windows, it’s Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y.
The buttons are greyed out when there’s nothing to undo or redo. Inside a text field, ⌘Z undoes your typing instead.
What counts as a step
Every change to the workspace is a step: adding, moving, resizing, editing, locking or deleting cards, frames and decks, plus settings like costs. Stetto keeps up to your last 100 steps.
Some things are one step, however much they change:
- A drag of several cards, and everything it pushes aside.
- Aligning, tidying, or scaling a frame or a selection.
- A template or a paste, however many cards it brings.
- Each of Stetto’s answers, with every card it added or changed and any frames it made. See Answers that arrive as a section.
Selecting, switching decks, panning and zooming, the region switch and your chat aren’t steps.
Undo is yours
Undo only takes back your own changes. What teammates change in the same workspace stays as they left it. See See who's here and follow someone.
If you undo a deck’s deletion, the deck comes back and opens. See Create, rename, reorder, duplicate and delete decks.
Good to know
- Undo waits while Settings or a confirm is open. That way nothing changes behind it. It still works beside a card’s drill-down.
- Viewers have nothing to undo, since they can’t change the deck. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
- Your steps last while the tab is open. Reloading starts afresh.
