Help Arranging the canvas
Select several
Select several cards to move, line up, scale, frame or delete them together, or to ask Stetto about just those cards.
Select
- Click a card to select it. Click a frame’s label to select the frame.
- Shift-click or ⌘-click a card to add it to the selection, or take it out. On Windows, Ctrl-click.
- Drag a box from an empty part of the canvas, and every card it touches is selected.
- ⌘A (Ctrl+A) selects every card on the deck.
- Escape clears the selection.
The right panel names what’s selected (“3 cards”, or “1 frame, 2 cards”) and lists them.
What you can do with them
- Move them together by dragging any one of them. See Move and resize.
- Line them up with the align, distribute and match tools, or “Tidy up”. See Align, distribute, match, tidy.
- “Frame selection” puts a frame around them. The shortcut is ⌥⌘G, or Ctrl+Alt+G on Windows. See Make and use a frame.
- “Lock all” or “Unlock all” in the right panel. See Lock a card.
- Copy, cut or delete them with ⌘C, ⌘X or Delete. See Copy, cut and paste.
- Ask Stetto about them, and your question covers the selection only. See Change selected cards.
Scale them together
With two or more cards selected, an outline goes around them, showing their count and size (“3 cards · 980 × 480”). Drag a corner of the outline to scale them together, just like scaling a group in a design tool (“Drag to scale these cards together (Shift keeps proportions)”).
- The opposite corner stays put, while the cards’ places, sizes and the gaps between them all stretch.
- Cards stop at their smallest size, and locked cards stay as they are.
- You see it as you drag, and it’s one undo step when you let go.
With auto layout on, the deck’s grid sizes the cards, so the corners won’t scale them. Try it and the auto layout bar tells you why. See Auto layout.
Who can do this
Everyone can select cards. Moving, scaling and changing them is for editors and admins. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
