Help Frames

Make and use a frame

Draw a frame around cards, give it a name, and set its dates once for every card inside.

Draw one

Press F, or pick the frame tool in the toolbar, and drag across the canvas. Click instead of dragging to get a frame of the default size. Escape cancels.

Already selected the cards you want? Choose “Frame selection” in the toolbar, or press ⌥⌘G (Ctrl+Alt+G on Windows).

Name it

New frames are called “Frame 1”, “Frame 2” and so on. To rename one, double-click the name above the frame, or rename it in the sidebar’s “Layers” tab.

Set its filters

Select the frame, then set these in the right panel’s “Filters”:

  • “Dates” and “Compare” for every card inside.
  • “Region” and “Currency”, for brands that sell in several regions.

Choosing “Each card’s own” leaves that setting to the cards. The panel tells you how many cards follow, like “3 of 4 cards follow the frame; 1 keeps its own.”

The frame’s label shows its dates, comparison and region, so you can read a deck’s sections at a glance.

Good to know

  • “Same days (to-date cards)” only touches to-date cards. Set on a frame, that comparison applies to its month, quarter and year to date cards. Its other cards keep their own comparison. See Dates, time zones and comparisons.
  • A card can keep its own dates inside a frame. Untick “Use the frame’s filters” on the card. See Which cards belong to a frame.
  • Waiting for a source? When every card inside waits for the same one, the frame’s label says it once, like “Needs Klaviyo”, and its cards show a dash. See When a card is waiting or can't show.
  • You can ask Stetto about a frame. The spark on its label selects it and puts the cursor in the Ask Stetto bar. See Change selected cards.
