See your true profit

See what you actually keep after product costs, shipping, payment fees and ads. It takes a few minutes of setup in Settings, then one template.

1. Open Costs

Open Settings and choose “Costs”. Settings is the button at the top of the right panel, or ⌘,. On a card waiting for costs, admins also get “Add costs”, which opens the same page. See Enter product costs.

2. Fill in product costs

  • “Import from Shopify” does it for you. It reads each product’s “Cost per item” from your connected stores, and you can edit any of them after.
  • Or type them in to the “Cost per unit” table. Whatever sold in the last 12 months comes first, best sellers at the top, with each product’s average selling price and margin. Older products follow, without a price.

Costs are in your reporting currency.

3. Add per-order costs

Under “Per order”, set “Shipping & fulfillment” and “Payment processing”. Payment processing is a percent of sales plus a fixed amount per order. It starts at 2.9% plus 0.30, so change it to what you actually pay. See Per-order costs.

4. Drag in the “Profit” template

You’ll find it in the sidebar’s “Templates” tab. It brings gross margin, contribution profit, contribution margin and POAS, gross profit by product, and MER against break-even ROAS. Above the break-even line, your ads are paying for themselves. See Profit metrics.

Why a card might still wait

Stetto never counts a missing cost as zero, because that would show a margin better than the truth. A profit card waits until every product it counts has a cost, and says “Add your product costs (Settings, Costs) to see profit.” The Costs page tells you how many products still need one. See Why profit cards wait.

Who can do this

Team admins enter costs. Editors add the template, and everyone sees the cards. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
