Keep stock from running out
See which products are about to run out, and get a warning before they do. It works once your Shopify store is connected.
1. Drag in “Products and stock”
You’ll find it in the sidebar’s “Templates” tab. It brings your best sellers, how many days of stock each product has left at its current pace (fewest first), and a product scorecard with sales, units sold and units on hand. See The templates.
Days of stock left is units on hand divided by what the product sells a day. A product with nothing on hand shows 0 days, and one with stock that didn’t sell says “No sales”.
2. Turn on warnings
Open Settings, “Appearance”, and switch on “Show warnings”. Warnings appear across the top of the canvas:
- Under 14 days of stock is a warning, at the last 14 days’ pace, like “Trail Runner: ~9 days of stock left”.
- Under 7 days is critical, and a product with less than a day left says it “is out of stock”.
Hover a warning to see the units on hand. “Ask Stetto” asks when it will stock out, how much revenue is at risk and whether to pull back ads on it. The ✕ hides it.
Warnings are just for you, in this browser, so turning them on changes nothing for your team. See Appearance.
3. Know where stock history starts
Shopify only knows how much stock you have today, so Stetto takes a snapshot once a day, starting the day your store connects. Days of stock left works from the first snapshot, because it takes daily sales from your sales history. Charts of stock over time start that day.
