Help Profit and costs

Per-order costs

Tell Stetto what each order costs you to ship and to take payment for, and contribution profit and break-even ROAS will count it.

Set them

Go to Settings, “Costs”, and look under “Per order”:

  • “Shipping & fulfillment” is what one order costs you to pick, pack and ship, on average.
  • “Payment processing” is a percentage of sales plus a fixed amount per order. It starts at 2.9% + 0.30, a common card rate. Change it to yours.

Each change saves straight away, for everyone in the workspace. Amounts are in the same currency as your product costs, which is your reporting currency. See Currencies.

How Stetto counts them

  • Shipping and the fixed fee are counted once for every order.
  • The percentage is taken from net sales.
  • Orders and sales from channels you leave out don’t count. See Sales channels.

Together they make the “Shipping & payment fees” metric. That comes off gross profit to give “Contribution before ads”, and from there it reaches “Contribution profit”, “Contribution margin”, “Break-even ROAS” and “Profit per order”. Gross profit, gross margin and POAS don’t use them. See Profit metrics.

Good to know

  • These are averages. Stetto applies the same amounts to every order. It doesn’t read each order’s shipping label or payment fee.
  • Product costs come first. Every profit metric except “Shipping & payment fees” also needs your product costs. See Why profit cards wait.
  • “Clear all costs” clears these too. It’s at the foot of the page and takes every product cost with it. Undo brings them all back.

Who can do this

Team admins. Everyone else can see the costs as they are. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
