Currencies

Your stores and accounts can each keep their own currency. Stetto converts money day by day, so totals across them come out in the one currency you choose.

How money is converted

  • Each day at that day’s rate. A sale on March 3 converts at March 3’s rate, taken from the European Central Bank’s daily rates.
  • Weekends and holidays use the last business day’s rate.
  • Conversion comes before adding up. In a month of sales in euros and pounds, each day is converted first, then summed.
  • Only money changes. Orders, visits, units and other counts stay as they are.

Each store and account keeps its own currency in your data. Converting only changes how money is shown, so switching back and forth never changes anything saved.

Which currency you see

  • Your reporting currency is the default. For a brand with several regions, team admins choose it in Settings, “Regions”, under “Totals across regions are shown in”. See Regions.
  • “Local” shows a region in its own currency. Pick a region on the switch at the top of the canvas first. See The region switch.
  • A frame, card or answer can use one currency of its own. A frame has its “Frame currency”. For a card or an answer, ask Stetto: “show this in euros”.

One region, several currencies

A brand with one region can still have money in more than one currency, like a store in US dollars and an ad account in Canadian dollars. Then the switch at the top of the canvas says “Currency” and lists each one. Pick one to read every money figure on the deck in it. It’s your view only, so teammates keep their own.

A currency with no rate

If the European Central Bank doesn’t cover a currency, Stetto doesn’t guess. The card says “Stetto doesn’t have exchange rates between ARS and USD yet.”
