Sales channels
Choose which of Shopify’s sales channels count as sales. Leave out wholesale or draft orders, and every sales number in the workspace leaves them out too.
Choose the channels
- In Settings, open “Sales channels”. It shows once your store sells through more than one channel.
- Each channel is listed with its net sales and orders over the last 30 days.
- Switch off any channel that shouldn’t count. At least one always stays on.
Each switch saves straight away, for everyone in the workspace, and undo takes it back. “Count every channel” switches them all back on.
A channel tagged “Mostly returns” had more come back than it sold in the last 30 days, the way a returns app does.
What changes
A channel you leave out drops out of net sales, orders, AOV, MER, CAC, cost of goods and every other sales number.
Cards say so in their footer, like “without Wholesale”. Hover it to see which channels are left out.
Good to know
- Returns count against the channel of the order they reverse, so leaving out a returns app doesn’t hide refunds.
- Stock still counts every channel. Wholesale ships from the same shelves, so days of cover stays right.
- A card set to one sales channel still shows it, whether it’s left out or not. See Choose what a card shows (filter your data).
- These are Shopify’s own channels, like Online Store, Point of Sale, Draft Orders, wholesale or another app. They’re not where a visitor came from.
Who can do this
Team admins. Everyone else sees the choices as they are. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
