Leave a team, delete a workspace, delete your account

Here’s how to leave a team, delete a workspace or delete your account, and what goes with each.

Leave a team

  1. In Settings, choose “Account”, then “Leave” beside the team. Or open the team’s “General” page and click “Leave”.
  2. Click “Leave team” to confirm.

You lose access to the team’s workspaces, though an admin can invite you back. You can’t leave your only team, so delete your account instead. You also can’t leave a team where you’re the only admin, so make someone else an admin first. See Team settings.

Delete a workspace

  1. In Settings, open the workspace’s “General” page and click “Delete workspace”. Or, on the team’s “Workspaces” page, click “Delete” beside it.
  2. Type the workspace’s name to confirm, then click “Delete workspace”.

Its decks, cards, comments and imported data go for everyone on the team, and it can’t be undone. Connections belong to the team, though, so they stay for its other workspaces until an admin disconnects them. See Remove or disconnect a source.

“A team keeps at least one workspace.” So add another before you delete the last one.

Delete your account

  1. In Settings, “Account”, click “Delete my account”.
  2. Type your email to confirm, then click “Delete my account”.

It happens straight away and can’t be undone:

  • Teams only you are on are deleted. Their workspaces, decks, imported data and connections go with them.
  • On teams you share, you leave. They keep everything.
  • Your sign-in goes too.

If you’re the only admin of a team you share, make someone else an admin first, so the team keeps its workspaces.

Who can do this

Anyone can leave a team or delete their own account. Only team admins can delete workspaces. See Roles: admin, editor, viewer.
